strange genius. feels like part of him is always acting... the weird dialect that's like a mix of hood and southern. both shy and country. managed to write/direct a good movie, but had to base it entirely on his trauma. would love to have a beer with this dude.

I just love this movie, I am fascinated. I just cannot stop watching it. Every time I see it, I discover some new detail that fascinates me. I think one of the best movies Chris Pine has ever made. It makes you actually feel what DB feels, the character is so sincere and so is Chris Pine in playing it. Scenography is awesome, so is the cast. I think everyone should see this film, it gives an urge to reconnect with our true innerselves. Congratulations!

Great independent film, very emotional. Deserves more credit, and I'm speaking from the standpoint of the way the story was told, the depth of the characters, and the way the actors conveyed such strong emotions through their facial expressions. And very real from the point of a good, honest, person like Franky getting thrown under the bus by people he cares about. People that can't deal with their own issues and need someone to dump them on. Real life. Very well done.

I took it as giant little lies. Meaning how little lies can have such a giant impact on people's lives and relationships. Specifically, Ballas lying to Jess, then everything blowing up from there. Poor Franky.

In May 2022 a friend and I were walking around Dublin and decided to take in a movie (any movie) so that we could escape the rain. We were a few minutes walk from the Irish Film Institute and The Quiet Girl was next on the schedule. Needless to say we were deeply moved by the story and the acting. We were also intrigued that the all actors spoke Gaelic. There were only a few people in the theatre and we subsequently learned it was the second day the movie was playing so few people knew about it. When we returned to Canada we told everyone we knew about the movie and were pleased to see that it played in a local theatre some months after our return. I was especially pleased to learn it was nominated for an Oscar last year.

I absolutely love to watch Andrew Scott talk about this gorgeous film. After the devastation I felt after watching this film for the first time, I went online & started watching every interview with Andrew or Paul Mescal giving their take on their roles in this film. On Monday I will be going to see it again for the 3rd time & I really hope that I won't cry this time 🥹. What a fabulous actor Andrew is.. I will definitely be going back & watching all his other work soon (also Paul Mescal's previous films).. These 2 actors could not have been better in their roles. Nothing but love for them & the film 💞

First of all, so called "Peter Marshall" wasn't his real name. There was nothing wrong with his actual birth name, Ralph Pierre LaCock He obviously He obviously "sold out" his birth name because of the shallowness of the entertainment industry?! Most likely the change was made as the result of a greedy Business Manager, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? In reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not earn) a greater buck?!

Longshot, but does anyone remember a movie theater policy trailer where the voiceover stated the rules in this weird kind of staccato, hushed tone: “No talking pleeeease, no smoking pleeeease (etc)”? I believe it used to be shown at the Angelika Film Center in NYC in the ‘80s and ‘90s. I’d give a nonessential body part to find it on the internet.

But then without nazism indeed , Bill Reiner never would had get out of Germany and Anvil also never would had been as it is today. I mean, Anvil exists due to Nazism. Without Nazism, there would have been no Anvil. The thought of Steve is false, therefore . In fact, it's just the other way around. Also , the question then is to ask why Steve is unable to develop logical, rational thought: Is it because he wants at all costs to affirm that Nazism was bad? But I don't think he realizes that Nazism is a type of socialism, and socialism is the ideological basis of the 2030 agenda that the Democratic party pushes. That's the truth. Regardless of this question, I must say that love Anvil music , one of the best rock bands ever.
